What Not to Do in Orlando on Thanksgiving Day

What Not to Do in Orlando on Thanksgiving Day

Rosen Plaza Hotel Thanksgiving Buffet

If you’re planning a visit to Orlando this Thanksgiving, there’s only one thing you should avoid: Staying in your hotel room all day.

Many events are happening on the day of the big feast all around the city, which means a lot of fun for the family. Skip the trouble of massive food prep and cooking to start a new Thanksgiving vacation tradition in Orlando. The memories you’ll make during a Thanksgiving vacation are sure to be remembered for a lifetime.

Thanksgiving Day Activities

The major theme parks Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Studios Orlando, and SeaWorld Orlando are open on Thanksgiving Day.

Give thanks for family time and for the beautiful sceneries while getting some exercise (walking around the theme parks), riding rollercoasters, and enjoying holiday-themed food from restaurants in the parks. Keep in mind the Magic Kingdom and Epcot are the most packed on Thanksgiving Day. If you are planning to visit Universal Studios Orlando, the park usually reaches capacity around 11 a.m. on Thanksgiving. Again, don’t get stuck in your hotel room because you slept in. Get to the parks early because holiday days are the busiest.

For those looking for non-theme park entertainment, this show will blow your mind.

The Venardos Circus is back at Winter Garden, Florida, from November 10 to November 28, 2021. What makes this show different from the rest is it perfectly mends a Broadway-style show into the entertainment of a circus and is animal-free. The Venardos Circus shows (created by the Ringling Brothers) are expected to sell out fast, so book tickets early and lock down this Thanksgiving goodie.

Celebrate Thanksgiving Dinner at the Rosen Plaza Hotel

Everyone knows that preparing Thanksgiving dinner takes all day and takes a mental and physical toll on everyone involved in cooking, decorating, and preparing for this annual feast. No need to worry about those stresses. You’re on a Thanksgiving vacation! At Rosen Plaza, we’ve got your Thanksgiving day feast covered.

Rosen Plaza’s Thanksgiving buffet features way more than most of us can or will cook at home.

The buffet will have traditional food like roast turkey, lemon-chive mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie. Probably unlike most homemade Thanksgiving dinners, this gourmet buffet also features new favorites like a pasta station where you can make your own pasta dish, a seafood station that features food and dishes from around the globe, grilled swordfish steak with puttanesca sauce, and a variety of savory desserts. Drool over the Thanksgiving buffet menu online. To reserve seats, give us a call at (407) 996-7345 or make your reservation online.
