The two teams will be going head-to-head at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, marking the fourth installment of a multi-year contract between ESPN events and Florida Citrus Sports. This will be Seminole’s second Camping World Kickoff game, having been the first team to play back in 2016 against Ole Miss. The event is set to start at 7 p.m. and will be aired live on ABC nationally.

Not only is this the first weekend of college football, but it’s also Labor Day weekend! So, grab a drink and some popcorn, because we have a feeling this game is going to be electric.

Orlando’s first kickoff event in 2016 saw quite a riveting game with the Seminoles bridging a 22-point deficit within two quarters. FSU’s freshman quarterback at the time, Deondre Francois, scored 33 consecutive points during a ferocious rally, making it one of the largest comebacks in Florida state football history.

The Seminoles have never been strangers to a killer comeback, though. Their 2016 win was the most fitting for Camping World’s inauguration into the world of Week Zero.

Football fans have already started getting their tickets for 2023’s event, with prices ranging from $199 to as much as $1,494. We recommend getting yours as soon as possible as they’re selling out quickly.

Camping World Stadium

The origin of the Camping World Stadium dates all the way back to 1936, with the venue initially going by a different alias of “Orlando Stadium..

It began as a project led by newly elected president Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Works in Progress Administration, a key sector of his New Deal plan. Hundreds of millions of dollars and several expansions later, the stadium is now 90% brand-new, and can accommodate roughly 65,000 patrons between lower bowl seating, club access, and plaza bleachers.

The Camping World Stadium has since hosted huge sporting events such as the Cheez-It Bowl, Citrus Bowl, and, of course, Camping World Kickoff.
